  • Inspiring Teachers: Inspiring Children

Babington House School is an independent day school in Chislehurst from 3 to 18 years.

The boys and girls receive first class education in a supportive and academic environment.  The school is in a convenient location just a few minutes from Chislehurst High Street and 3 minutes’ walk from Elmstead Woods station.

They select children on their academic ability and potential, as well as personal qualities.  Once at Babington, they are expected to surpass their own expectations and achieve excellent results.

At whatever stage of their education, finding the right school for your child is so important, it should be an environment where he or she can be happy, learn and thrive.

Babington is an excellent school achieving amazing results and inspiring pupils from the Sixth Form right down to the Nursery. The School was ranked as the top small independent school in England for A level results 2018 and over the past three years has achieved 80% A* to B grades at A Level. Babington’s Early Years provision is top of the Bromley Borough league tables for the third year running.

The school has just over 420 pupils from 3 to 18 and is co-educational throughout. Babington achieves excellent results but also believes in developing the whole child, encouraging pupils to become confident, enabled young people.

Being a small school has BIG advantages. It has high standards of behaviour, dress and conduct, benefiting from no more than 20 children in a class and a strong sense of community. Babington is committed to outstanding music, drama, sport and the arts in their broadest sense and offers a wealth of extra-curricular opportunities.

Headmaster, Tim Lello comments “Our commitment to provide an academic and well-rounded education with small class sizes, tailored to the needs of our pupils is really paying off.  Our pupils and parents have been rightly impressed by the excellent and full programme of on-line lessons and support we have provided during the lockdown and we are achieving excellent results.”
