It’s Coming Home!

Chislehurst officially has its own football team!  Glebe FC have renamed their club, Chislehurst Glebe FC reflecting the club’s geographical roots and strengthening its identity within the local community.  This change aligns with naming conventions in higher leagues and is expected to boost the club’s visibility, appeal to sponsors and reinforce its community ties.  Whilst the club name changes, it will still legally be registered as GLEBE, with the name transition taking place gradually over the next 1 – 2 years.

The Club is currently undergoing major works with the installation of a new 3G artificial playing surface and a 350 seater stand with a 1500 capacity stadium on the same site as the current pitch.  This is an amazing £1.3m project that will bring Chislehurst Glebe FC into a full all year round, fully functioning playing pitch, which has been funded by the Football Federation, with a donation by the Chislehurst Society.  This outstanding upgrade hosts a wealth of opportunities for the local community as well, extending the clubs offering to girls and ladies teams and allowing the club to enhance its disability football, for those hard of learning and also for those who don’t currently have facilities to play.

The new facilities will be unveiled on July 5th at the club’s Open Day, coinciding with the grand opening of its new 3G pitch. All welcome!
