The annual Visit Chislehurst Christmas Market was cut short on 24th November by Storm Bert that blew his way through Chislehurst High Street with strong gusts and unfortunately brought a well planned and highly anticipated event to quick end. The wonderful market has become an integral part of the Chislehurst community calendar and is a wonderful start to the Christmas celebrations in the High Street. Months of planning are put in place to ensure that the High Street itself can be closed to traffic, funds have been set aside throughout the year to pay for the cost to the LBB, and the team look forward to welcoming new and existing stall holders to come and bring exciting Christmas gifts to sell. For our local independent shops and businesses this is usually a day of great trading, with an estimated 12k people on the High Street. Fully stocked and ready for the Christmas rush they will now be hoping that you will all continue to do your Christmas shopping with them and support your local town in the run up to Christmas.
What a brilliant picture. Was that taken this year? Such a shame about the weather.
