Ancaster Motor Show Delivers a Fantastic Day for the Community
What a fantastic day at the Ancaster Motor Show today!
The event attracted a wonderful crowd and showcased an incredible variety of vehicles, from a charming Tuk Tuk and a classic Talbot Sunbeam to a stunning McLaren and an impressive collection of much-loved 1980s classics. There was truly something for every motoring enthusiast to enjoy.
We are incredibly grateful to the London Fire Brigade for attending and helping to make the day such a success. A huge thank you also goes to our local Scout Group and Duke of Edinburgh volunteers, whose enthusiasm and hard work played a vital role throughout the event.
The day was made even more special by the support of our local shops and businesses, the excitement of the funfair, and the fantastic selection of food vendors who kept visitors well fed and refreshed.
We were also fortunate that the weather was on our side, with the rain holding off and allowing everyone to enjoy the day to the fullest.
Events like this demonstrate Chislehurst at its very best – bringing together residents, businesses, volunteers and visitors to celebrate community spirit and enjoy a memorable day together.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors. Without your generous support, this event simply would not be possible.
Thank you to everyone who attended, exhibited, volunteered and supported the Motor Show. We look forward to doing it all again.
Roll on 2027!
Fantastic to see the Tuk Tuk getting a mention ahead of the, cough cough, more common McLaren. Congratulations on a great event.
Wonderful really enjoyed it especially the Cobras (my late husband’s favourite car).
I am sure you are aware of this, but I thought I’d mention it just in case.
During the Car Show, the traffic approaching via Green Lane toward to pond was at times tailed back all the way up the hill of Green Lane. This was due to traffic being unable to negotiate Heathfield Lane in both directions due to parked cars. At one time an ambulance on a blue light was delayed due to this. May I suggest that in future, a request for a temporary ‘No Parking’ order in Heathfield Lane be made for such future events. If this had been in force on Sunday, then the congestion as described, would have been greatly reduced.
Having said that, what a great day, and well done to all involved, I really enjoyed it.
Had a great day yesterday, got best car in show, travelled from Walton on the Naze in essex, was amazing,
Even better than last year.
Great to see a couple of cobras and a dodge charger.
Also saw my last model a Saab 9000 the first mass production turbo car from 1976.I’ve owned every Saab model except the 99 and a Saab 95 aero (my next purchase).Currently driving a Saab 93 hot aero.
About time the 9000 was excepted as a classic.
Such a shame that Saab’s are no longer produced.
