Chislehurst and St Pauls Cray Commons, with a total area of 180 acres, extend from Prickend Pond at the top of the High Street, both sides of Centre Common Road and St Pauls Cray Road to Leesons Hill.  To the east lies Scadbury Nature Reserve, owned by Bromley Council, and to the west lies Hawkwood Estate, including Tongs Farm and Petts Wood, both owned by the National Trust.

The ponds, woods and grasslands of the Commons are managed by the Trustees of Chislehurst Commons, a registered charity which is largely funded by local residents.

Further down the High Street you will find Chislehurst and Walden Recreation Grounds which boast another 37 acres of exciting playground, open space and woodland in which to explore. The FOCRG, a voluntary organisation, actively protect and improve these grounds.

More information on the developments at Prickend Pond and Rush Pond will soon be posted on the Commons website http://www.chislehurstcommons.uk
