On Saturday 7th July St Nicholas School will be holding its Annual Summer Fête: PARTY IN THE PIT, a highlight of the school and community’s annual calendar.

Come along from 1–4pm to the Pit, behind St Nicholas Primary, School Road, BR7 5PQ to enjoy a traditional summer fête with plenty of stalls and activities for children and adults alike to enjoy.

Try your hand at traditional favourites such as hook-a-duck and Hoopla, win a bottle (or two) at the tombola, or a coconut at the coconut shy.  Take the chance to throw something at a prominent member of the community in the stocks, and enjoy a tug of war battle. Relax and enjoy afternoon tea or a glass of Pimm’s. The school choir will perform and budding Fireman Sams and Samanthas can enjoy a look around a real life fire engine!

Party in the Pit is also delighted to support other local organisations: 5th Chislehurst Scouts will be there with the World’s Largest Bagatelle board, and there will be a gymnastics and dance displays from local clubs.

A popular new attraction this year is “Paws in the Pit”; a fun dog show for any wannabe showdogs! If you think your pooch has the waggiest tail, is the most obedient, or has what it takes to be the dog that Mr Paddington wants to take home with him come along and join in!  On the day registration closes at 1:30pm. £2 per class. (All dogs must be on leads for the whole time they are at the fair)
